Ladies, Weight Training is No Longer Just a Guy Thing

I didn't get Janet Jackson's new CD-20 YO, but I couldn't help but notice that for a 40-year old, she still looks good. Asked how, she specifically mentioned that she does do some form of weight training.

So in a combination of her statement and after seeing Hilary Swank, Angela Bassett, Madonna gracing the covers of several magazines, tv screens etc, more and more women are beginning to no longer believe the myth of weight training making women buff but that exercising with weights for women can actually be beneficial.

Tips for exercising with weights for women are finally becoming widely recognized and applauded for their overall health benefits

Now, ladies, to re-address the issue of exercising with weights for women & becoming buff or bulky, remember that women are not biologically designed to get big and bulky like us your male counterparts.

In all honesty, it would take an extraordinary amount of weight training and most likely some type of enhancement pharmaceutical to achieve the same sort of bulk that men have after weight training and trust me, if you do start looking like some of the women who go through such lengths to build muscle, you might very well lose some of your fan-base with us guys, so suffice it to say going to far will be pointless.

Some general exercises that you could use while working out with free weights as a female include

-Squats.

-Pressing Exercise for the chest muscles.

-Back Exercises

-Bicep Exercises

-Tricep Exercises

-Abdominal Crunches with a weight plate

In addition to the basics listed above, you could supplement your exercising with weights for women routine with some calisthenics (anaerobic and aerobic) and in the order of the mentioning of both types.

This could include such ones as using the Ab-Wheel, doing Chin-ups, Chair dips, Push-ups, Pull-ups and Squat Thrusts.

You will also do very well to add your cardiovascular training to the end of your weight training phase or you could incorporate the use of Yoga and/or pilates.

In addition to the tips above, one very important factor that must not be neglected in regards to tips for exercising with weights for women is...DIET.

Owing to your biological make-up and heck, overall health and fitness, eating a healthy diet is of uttermost importance and should not be overlooked.

Well, ladies, we do love when you admire us but hey, we for sure will be checking y'all out EVEN MORE when you apply some of these tips above to really taking your bodies to the next level.

These suggestions can't hurt and could possibly help out a whole lot actually
